| October 15, 2010 | White Cane Day Walk Join us on October 15 to celebrate National White Cane Day at Miami Lighthouse from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Miami Lighthouse has organized a fun-filled day to entertain as well as educate the public on blindness issues, and the White Cane Law which protects blind and visually impaired pedestrians. Keynote speaker Paul Edwards, President of the Florida Council of the Blind (FCB) will speak on the topic “Can Technology Replace Braille?” Breakfast will be provided, courtesy of the Coral Way Columbian Lions Club.
